Hi! I keep reading about the power of collaboration, and I can tell you for a fact that collaborating with the right people will help you become better at whatever you’re doing. When I say “the right people,” what I mean is people who are excited to create with you and share a vision of the work.
Now, I can write about collaboration all day, and I can read about it all day, too. But, at some point, one must actually do something.
Who’d like to promote their latest book with an excerpt in the Crime Cafe newsletter? Seeking July and August releases.
Just shoot an email with the excerpt in Word (not PDF) (ideally, around 500 - 800 words, plus or minus), the cover image, plus your author photo and bio, to me at debbi@debbimack.com.
And, yeah, I decide which ones get in. And if it doesn’t “fit” or “meet my current needs,” it might not make it in.
I’ll post as many as I can. When I can.
Just so you realize I have no money to pay you, but it doesn’t cost you anything, either.
If you want to make any money at this, ya gotta come up with something people will buy. I certainly don’t have the money I’d need to pay all the newsletter writers on Substack, regardless of how interesting you all are.
Anybody wanna collaborate on a crime fiction anthology? How about an essay collection? What’s your publishing journey been like? :)
I dare you to write an authentic account. :)
PS: Yeah, this really happened. :) In 2011.
Check out how my shoe nearly falls off my foot, while I clutch my hand. :) ROFL!
