It Was Synchronicity!

So last Sunday, I was reading the Washington Post Magazine and I ran across this article about a guy in Baltimore who actually tried to launch a manned rocket (the man in question being himself) to Venus. In 1927.

Needless to say, I was intrigued. I mean, seriously? This actually happened?

It occurred to me as I reading the article that the story resembled the plot of what’s generally known as a quest movie.

Because this wasn’t just about some dude in Baltimore with a wild idea. It was about the attempt to find this rocket. And a documentary of that search. And that notion alone kind of blew my mind.

But then, as I was searching for the article, so I could share it with you, look what I found as the second hit on my search!

Same name. Different obsessions.
